CYPRESS, TX – Three people, including two teenage boys, are dead following a high-speed collision at an underground car meet in Cypress last weekend.

According to KHOU and KPRC2, the accident occurred on Highway 290 near W Little York at about 10 p.m. Saturday, when 22-year-old Andrew Mock allegedly drove his yellow 2018 Chevrolet Camaro past the crowd at a high rate of speed.

The Camaro then collided with the rear of a black 2017 Chevrolet Malibu, which was then pushed into a crowd of pedestrians nearby. The Camaro reportedly went airborne.

35-year-old Roger Glover, who was visiting from New Jersey for a friend’s birthday celebration, died at the scene.

A 16-year-old boy was airlifted to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The teenager’s 14-year-old brother was pronounced brain dead following the crash.

The two children were apparently walking to their grandmother’s house following the car meet.

An unnamed victim was taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries. Five other victims were treated at the scene.

Mock was taken to the hospital, but was later released in time for his hearing.

Mock is being held in jail on an $80,000 bond and is facing three counts of manslaughter. The judge denied his lawyer’s request to reduce bail to $15,000. Additional bail conditions include no driving, wearing an ankle monitor, and a curfew.
