ABILENE, TX – A head on collision in Abilene left four people injured on Tuesday afternoon, according to local news reports.
The three-vehicle crash occurred at State Highway 36 and Loop 322 around 3:15 p.m.
Details regarding the cause of the crash are unclear at this time but it appears that a northbound vehicle crossed into the southbound lanes and struck two other vehicles.
Pictures from the scene show a red SUV with extensive damage to the front end and a red pickup truck in a ditch with the front axle separated from the vehicle.
One victim was initially trapped in their vehicle before being rescued. Four people were transported to local hospitals. Their current condition is unknown.
