Crash in northeast Amarillo leaves one dead

AMARILLO, TX – A 29-year-old man was killed in an accident in northeast Amarillo last weekend, KFDA reports.

Police believe the victim was travelling north on SH 136 when he lost control of his vehicle around a curve. The driver then over-corrected his steering, sending the car off the road and up an embankment.

Once off the road, the vehicle flipped end-over-end and ejected the driver.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe that speed an alcohol were factors in the deadly crash.
