Fifth victim killed after wrong-way crash in Amarillo

AMARILLO, TX – A fiery wrong-way collision in Amarillo has claimed a fifth life, ABC 7 Amarillo reports. 

The original accident occurred on Wednesday December 22nd. A Chevrolet Silverado 2500 pickup was travelling the wrong way on St. Francis when it collided with a Nissan Altima.

Four people in the Altima were killed at the scene. The victims were a 46-year-old woman, a 85-year-old woman, a 88-year-old man, and a 35-year-old man.

The fifth victim was a 23-year-old woman who was a passenger in the pickup truck. The truck’s driver is still being treated in the hospital.
