Two dead in motorcycle, car accident north of Amarillo

PAMPA, TX – Two men died in a head-on collision involving three motorcycles on Sunday, Aug. 8, on Highway 152 just west of Pampa.

According to My High Plains, the accident happened when the driver of a Chevy Avalanche crossed the centerline of Hwy 152 and hit three motorcycles traveling in the opposite lane.

Two motorcyclists died. Kevin Anderson, 59, died at the scene. Greg Rhoden, 48, died later at a hospital.

A driver and passenger of the third motorcycle are in critical condition. The driver of the Chevy sustained serious injuries.

The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that none of the motorcyclists or their passengers was wearing a helmet.
