DALHART, TX – One teenager is dead and another injured after a hit-and-run on the 1300 block of East 1st St., police say.
According to My High Plains, two teenagers were walking on East 1st St. just before 4 a.m. on Aug. 4. The driver of a red or maroon SUV struck both teens, dragging one of them for 200 feet. That teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver did not stop and render aid. Police are asking the public to come forward with any information regarding this incident.
