Narrative
WINDTHORST, TX – A 17-year-old girl died on Friday afternoon after her vehicle was struck by two other cars along the highway in Windthorst.
The accident occurred around 12:36 p.m. on U.S. 281 near Dollar General, which is on the northern outskirts of Windthorst.
Police say that the victim’s 2019 Nissan Kicks was rear-ended by a 2020 Ford F250 carrying two occupants. The force of the collision caused the Nissan to travel into the southbound lane, at which point it was struck by a southbound 2014 Chevrolet Malibu.
The teen driver of the Nissan died after transport to a local hospital.
No other injuries have been reported thus far in connection to the accident.
