2 people hospitalized after single-vehicle crash on Research Blvd service rd

AUSTIN, TX – Two people were hospitalized following a single-vehicle crash on the Research Boulevard service road early this morning, according to information from Austin-Travis County EMS.

The crash happened between 7906-8024 Research Blvd service road southbound, near Anderson Square, at 12:27 a.m., and involved a single vehicle. At least one person was pinned within the wreckage.

Authorities declared one adult victim a trauma alert, and transported them to Dell Seton Medical Center for the treatment of severe, possibly life-threatening injuries. A second victim was taken to the same hospital with possibly severe wounds.

The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
