AUSTIN, TX – Two people were taken to the hospital following a collision on I-35 early yesterday morning, according to the Austin-Travis County EMS.

The accident occurred in the 7000 block of southbound S I-35 at 3:25 a.m., when a vehicle crashed, causing one person to be pinned briefly within the wreckage.
The victim was extricated from the wreckage, then taken to St. David’s South with possibly serious injuries that were not expected to be life-threatening.
Another person sustained minor wounds and was taken to St. David’s South for treatment.
A second collision occurred nearby and may have been a result of onlookers lingering near the scene.
