AUSTIN, TX – Two people were killed in a fiery collision between a semi-truck and another vehicle on I-35 on Monday night, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

The crash occurred in the 5300 block of N I-35 southbound, near E 53rd Street, at 8:35 p.m., when a car and a semi-truck collided, causing the passenger vehicle to become fully engulfed in flames.
Two people inside the car were pronounced dead at the scene.
No information was available on the condition of the truck driver.
Authorities shut down all southbound lanes of I-35 as they investigated the crash.
