2-vehicle crash in SE Austin injures 5 people

AUSTIN, TX – According to Nationwide Report, five people were injured in a crash in southeast Austin on Thursday.

Authorities say the crash took place just after 6:45 a.m., near the 10400 block of Lonesome Lane, at the intersection of FM812 and FM973. Two vehicles were involved in the crash and five people sustained injuries in the impact.

A total of five people were injured in the accident. One person sustained potentially life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Dell Seton Medical Center for treatment. Another two victims involved were also injured and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. The remaining two victims were not taken to a hospital for treatment.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown. Police continue to investigate.
