AUSTIN, TX – Three people were injured as a result of a pin-in collision on Old Bee Caves Road on Wednesday evening, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

The crash happened at Old Bee Caves Rd and Thomas Springs Road at 8:26 p.m., when two vehicles collided, causing one of those to overturn.
One person was pinned within the wreckage as a result. After being extricated from the crash, the pinned victim was taken to South Austin Medical Center for the treatment of critical, life-threatening wounds.
A second person was also declared a trauma alert and was taken to the same hospital to receive treatment for possibly serious wounds.
A third victim suffered minor injuries in the crash and refused transport to the hospital.
Drivers were told to expect extended traffic delays and closures near the crash scene.
