Narrative
AUSTIN, TX – An accident involving a semi-truck and a car along the interstate in north Austin seriously injured one person on Thursday morning.
According to Fox 7 Austin, crews responded to the crash sometime before 10 a.m. on the southbound service road of N I-35 between Braker Lane and Tech Ridge Boulevard.
It’s unclear how the accident occurred, but police say a sedan became trapped beneath an 18-wheeler. Both vehicles caught fire, and the driver of the sedan sustained serious injuries.
The truck driver did not require hospitalization.
Firefighters and emergency crews worked at the scene to put out the fire while officials warned motorists to avoid the area.
