Motorcyclist dead after crashing into Jeep in downtown Austin

AUSTIN, TX – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a Jeep on the I-35 service road in the downtown area early Tuesday morning, according to CBS Austin.

The collision happened in the 700 block of the northbound I-35 N service road, near E 7th Street, at 1:43 a.m., when a black Jeep and a motorcycle collided.

The motorcyclist was taken to Dell Seton, and there he succumbed to injuries sustained during the crash.

The woman driving the Jeep remained at the scene. No charges have been filed at this time.

The accident remains under investigation.
