AUSTIN, TX – One person was killed after their vehicle collided with a tree on Tillery Street on Sunday afternoon, according to details provided by Austin-Travis County EMS.

The crash occurred at 1102 Tillery Street, between Stokes Drive and Neal Street at 4:37 p.m., after a driver crashed into a tree, causing them to be pinned within their own vehicle.
Authorities were able to extricate the victim. However, despite this and the use of CPR, the victim was pronounced dead before 4:56 p.m.
Drivers were told to expect lengthy traffic delays near the scene.
