One person killed after motorcycle and car collide on I-35 in Austin

AUSTIN, TX – One person was killed in an accident involving a motorcycle on I-35 in Austin last week, according to KXAN.

The accident occurred on southbound I-35, near Highway 290, at about 12:07 p.m. Thursday, when a vehicle and a motorcyclist collided.

One person, who has not yet been publicly identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities shut down the southbound lanes of the highway as they worked the crash, and drivers were asked to detour at Exit 240, near Rundberg Lane.
