Pedestrian fatally struck by Buick on Airport Blvd in Austin

AUSTIN, TX – A pedestrian was killed when he was struck by a vehicle on Airport Boulevard on Sunday morning, according to the Austin Police Department.

The collision happened in the 5700 block of Airport Blvd at 5:35 a.m., as an unidentified man was walking across the roadway. He was then struck by the driver of a 2013 Buick.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver remained after the crash and has reportedly cooperated with the investigation.

The crash, which is the 70th fatal crash of the year in Austin, remains under investigation.
