AUSTIN, TX – A pedestrian died after being hit by a train in the south Austin area early this morning, according to information from CBS Austin.
The crash occurred near Meadowsouth Lane and Slaughter Creek Drive at about 12:30 a.m., when a person walking near the railroad tracks was hit by a train.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The train driver stopped and remained at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
