Person hospitalized after car collides with pedestrian in South Austin

AUSTIN, TX – A person was injured during a pedestrian accident in South Austin this weekend, according to KXAN.

The crash occurred on I-35 S, near Brandt Road and Slaughter Lane, at about 9:25 p.m. Sunday, when a vehicle collided with a pedestrian.

An adult victim was taken to the hospital for the treatment of possibly serious wounds.

Authorities closed the northbound lanes of I-35 for about 35 minutes as they worked the accident.

The identity of the victim was not immediately released.
