Teen driver injured in speed-related crash on Coolbrook Dr in NE Austin

AUSTIN, TX – A teenage boy was injured in a speed-related crash on Coolbrook Drive in northeast Austin on Monday morning, according to information from the Texas Department of Transportation.

The crash happened at 5878 Coolbrook Dr, near Crystalbrook Drive at 10:27 a.m., when the 17-year-old driver of a red 2006 Saturn failed to control the speed of his vehicle. The front-right end of his vehicle then collided with the front of a white 1986 Chevrolet.

The teen driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.

No information was available on the identity or condition of the second driver.
