LOCKHART, TX – A teen was killed Tuesday morning when he was hit by a vehilce while walking along a freeway in Lockhart.
According to KXAN, the 19-year-old man was struck while walking along West San Antonio Street in downtown Lockhart.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
Investigators say the driver fell asleep behind the wheel, causing their vehicle to veer off the road and strike the pedestrian. It is unclear at this time if that individual will face any charges.
