Three-car crash in Austin leaves two dead, one in critical condition

AUSTIN, TX – Two people died and one person was taken to the hospital in critical condition after an early-morning crash on Saturday in Austin.

The crash happened on southbound I-35 near the East 53rd Street exit. Austin-Travis County EMS responded to the three-vehicle crash around 4:30 a.m. Two people were dead at the scene.

First responders transported one adult to Dell Seton Medical Center in critical condition. The victims have not yet been identified.
