AUSTIN, TX – Three people were hospitalized following a multi-vehicle collision on the I-35 service road last week, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

The collision happened in the 5700 block of the northbound I-35 S service road at 10:32 p.m. Wednesday, when five vehicles collided.
A total of eight people were involved in the collision. Three of those were declared trauma alerts.
One person was taken to South Austin Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries. Another victim was taken to the same hospital with possibly serious wounds.
A third victim was taken to Dell Seton with critical, life-threatening wounds.
A fourth person suffered minor injuries and refused transport at the scene.
The remaining four people were not hurt.
