DEL VALLE, TX – One person was critically injured and another two were hurt in a pin-in collision on the State Highway 71 service road early Tuesday morning.
According to the Austin-Travis County EMS, the collision occurred in De Valle at the intersection of the westbound E SH-71 service road and Cardinal Loop at 12:42 a.m.

One person was unconscious when first responders arrived and was taken to South Austin Medical Center with critical, life-threatening wounds.
Two people were also brought to the hospital with serious injuries, though theirs were not expected to be life-threatening.
ATCEMS advised travelers to avoid the area, as heavy traffic delays were expected.
