Narrative
AUSTIN, TX – One person died, and at least one other person sustained injuries in a solo crash along Loop 360 in southwest Austin on Thursday.
The incident happened just after 1 p.m. in the area of Loop 360 and Stoneridge Road, which is just north of the junction with Mopac and east of the Barton Creek Wilderness Park.
The cause of the accident is still unclear. Police say that one person became pinned in the wreckage and that another person died at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim.
The pinned patient went to the hospital on a trauma alert, while two other patients refused transport to the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
