AUSTIN, TX – Emergency teams worked to resuscitate an adult pedestrian after a vehicle struck them on the highway in northwest Austin Tuesday.

According to Fox 7 Austin, crews responded to the area of US-183 northbound and Pond Springs Road around 6:08 a.m. This is just southeast of Anderson Mill Medical Center.

It’s not yet clear where the victim was walking when the vehicle struck them, nor do we know if the driver remained at the scene.

Officials say the victim also required CPR in the ambulance while en route to a local hospital.

Officials asked the public to avoid this area of US-183 while crews worked to clear the scene.
