COPPERAS COVE, TX – A central Texas man was killed and two others were injured in a fiery head-on crash in Copperas Cover on Saturday afternoon.

Police say Bernard Christian Uhler II, 48, was headed south on FM-116 shortly before 12:30 p.m. when his vehicle drifted into the oncoming lanes and crashed head-on into a 2023 Toyota pickup truck.

Uhler was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. Both occupants of the pickup, ages 46 and 42, sustained minor injuries in the crash.
