Two injured after 18-wheeler and car crash in Round Rock

ROUND ROCK, TX – Two people were hospitalized on Thursday after a car and an 18-wheeler truck crashed in Round Rock, causing the truck to spill fuel onto the roadway.

According to KXAN, the accident occurred on Hesters Crossing Road, near Rawhide Drive, the I-35 frontage road, and the Hesters Crossing Shopping Center, at about 1:50 a.m.

The impact caused the truck to overturn onto its side and spill fuel over the roadway, leading to extensive traffic delays and road closures of over seven hours.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

By 9 a.m., the roadway was clear.
