JONESTOWN, TX (TRAVIS COUNTY) – Two people were taken to the hospital following a fiery, rush-hour collision on FM 1431 Road in northwest Travis County on Wednesday morning, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

The crash occurred in the 28000 block of FM 1431 Rd at 8:34 a.m., when two vehicles collided, causing one of the automobiles to burst into flames.
One of the drivers was pinned within the wreckage of the crash. After being extricated by emergency crews, they were declared a trauma alert, and then taken to St. David’s Round Rock to receive treatment for severe injuries.
A second victim was taken to the same hospital in unknown condition.
