Narrative
Two people were hospitalized Saturday night after a vehicle crashed into a restaurant in Round Rock, injuring six others. The incident occurred at Gino’s Italian Restaurant and Pizza, located at 1701 South Mays Street. Round Rock Police and Fire Department crews responded to the scene shortly after 5:00 p.m. Two people were transported to a local hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening. One of those patients was said to be an employee who broke her leg in the crash. Six others suffered minor injuries. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers. At this time, impairment is not a suspected factor.
