17-year-old driver hurt in Orange rollover crash on Christmas Day

ORANGE, TX – A 17-year-old driver was injured during a rollover crash in Orange on Christmas Day after she reportedly failed to yield to another vehicle, according to KOGT Radio.

The accident occurred on northbound Highway 87, near Martin Luther King Jr Drive, also known as FM 3247, at about 5 p.m., when the victim, who was operating a Volkswagen Jetta, attempted to make a left turn.

The Volkswagen was struck by the driver of a Honda CRV headed southbound, then flipped over an unspecified number of times.

The Volkswagen collided with a Ford Escape that was stopped at a traffic light before finally coming to rest.

The victim, who was cited for failing to yield the right of way, was taken to the hospital in Beaumont with unspecified injuries.

The other two drivers were not reported as injured.
