ORANGE, TX – A 24-year-old pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Orange this weekend, according to 12 News Now.
At about 2:40 a.m. Sunday, near the intersection of Cypress Wood Drive and Highway 87 S, a driver struck 24-year-old Nederland woman Lexie Ann Sheridan, then fled the scene.
Sheridan was found dead in the roadway by officials.
A suspect came to speak with police several hours after the crash. He is reportedly cooperating with the investigation and has not yet been charged with a crime.
The accident remains under investigation, and an autopsy has been ordered by the Justice of the Peace.
