29-year-old killed after car crashes into parked vehicles, building in Silsbee

SILSBEE, TX – A 29-year-old woman was killed after her vehicle collided with multiple vehicles and a building in Silsbee this weekend, according to 12 News Now.

The accident happened at the intersection of FM 1122 and FM 92 at 9 a.m. Saturday, when 29-year-old Evadale woman Shelby Smith, operating a 2019 Kia Forte, lost control of the vehicle while reportedly driving at an unsafe speed.

Smith collided with a culvert, sending the vehicle into the air. The Kia crashed into a 2009 Chevrolet, a 2012 Honda, and then a building.

Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
