4-year-old and teen injured in crash after driver runs red light in Port Arthur

PORT ARTHUR, TX – A 4-year-old girl and a teenage boy were injured in a crash caused by a driver running a red light in Port Arthur last week, according to information from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

The collision happened at the red light on State Highway 87, near St. Augustine Boulevard, at 10:10 a.m. Wednesday, when the driver of a tan 2005 Cadillac failed to yield at a traffic light. The front-left end of his vehicle collided with the back-left quarter of a white 2015 Cadillac.

Two passengers in the white Cadillac, a 17-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl, suffered possible injuries in the crash. The driver of the white Cadillac, a 40-year-old woman, was not hurt.

The at-fault driver was not reported as injured.
