4-year-old seriously injured in crash that hurt her brother, mother in Vidor

VIDOR, TX – A woman, her 7-year-old son, and her 4-year-old daughter were injured in a collision with a sheriff’s deputy in Vidor this weekend, according to 12 News Now.

The accident occurred on FM 105, near the 3600 block of N Main Street, at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, when 31-year-old Vidor woman Kimmie Chandler, operating a Chevrolet sedan, turned from a parking lot onto FM 105.

She pulled into the path of an Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputy who was responding to an emergency, and the two vehicles collided.

Chandler’s 4-year-old daughter was airlifted to the hospital in Houston with severe injuries.

Chandler and her son were taken to the hospital for the treatment of non-critical wounds.

The deputy sustained minor injuries in the accident.

Authorities advised travelers in the area to be aware of possible traffic delays and road closures.
