Man killed, two injured when car crashes into pedestrian, then home in Port Arthur

PORT ARTHUR, TX – A driver struck and killed a pedestrian, then crashed into a nearby home in Port Arthur last night in an accident that also caused injury to two women, according to KBMT.

The accident occurred in the 1800 block of Gulfway Dr (TX-87), near Lake Charles Ave, at about 9:30 p.m. when the driver of a white Chevrolet Malibu crashed into a pedestrian.

The vehicle then crashed into the corner of a home nearby. The occupants of the home were not hurt in the accident.

The victim died at the scene of the crash. His identity has not yet been released.

Two women inside the Malibu were taken to the hospital for the treatment of undisclosed injuries. They were also not publicly identified in the report.

Authorities continue to investigate the collision at this time.
