Man severely injured after being hit by vehicle in Beaumont

BEAUMONT, TX – A man was severely injured after being hit by a driver in Beaumont on Saturday afternoon, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

The collision occurred at 35 N 23rd Street at 3:50 p.m., when the 30-year-old driver of a maroon 2010 Buick failed to safely pass another vehicle. She then collided with a 68-year-old man who may have been operating a bicycle at the time.

The man sustained severe injuries in the accident.

The driver and her two juvenile passengers were not reported as injured.
