PORT ARTHUR, TX – One person was killed, and another was injured following an accident earlier today in the Port Arthur area, according to 12 News Now.
The crash occurred on northbound Highway 69, near the Central Mall, at about 3 p.m., and appears to have involved two white vehicles, one of them a Chevrolet.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second victim was taken to the hospital for the treatment of undisclosed injuries.
The identities of the victims and the cause of the crash have not yet been released.
Traffic was able to move on the Hwy 69 frontage road, though heavy delays were present following the accident.
