SILSBEE, TX (HARDIN COUNTY) – Two people were injured in a three-vehicle accident involving a school bus last week in Silsbee, according to the Beaumont Enterprise.
The accident happened on FM 92 in Hardin County at about 6:30 a.m. Thursday, as a stopped school bus was waiting for children to board. The driver of a 2014 Dodge, a 70-year-old Fred resident, rear-ended a 2009 Toyota pickup truck that was waiting for the bus.
The impact pushed the two vehicles into the bus, which luckily did not yet have children on board.
The driver of the Dodge and the driver of the Toyota, a 53-year-old Spurger man, were taken to the hospital in Beaumont with undisclosed injuries.
The bus driver was not reported as hurt.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
