VIDOR, TX – Two people died and two others were injured when an SUV collided with a motorcycle in Vidor this weekend, according to KJAS.

The accident happened at the intersection of Lakeview Cutoff Road and Main Street (FM 105) on Saturday, when the 75-year-old driver of a 2012 Toyota SUV attempted to make a left turn onto Lakeview Cutoff.

The driver, a woman from Vidor, did not yield the right of the way to the 2002 Honda motorcycle headed southbound on Main. She pulled into the path of the motorcycle, and the two vehicles collided.

The operator of the motorcycle was pinned beneath the SUV, while the passenger was ejected from the motorcycle.

Spurger man Tony Stanley, 48, and Lumberton woman Angie Stanley, 40, both died at the scene. It is unclear at this time which of them was the driver and which was the passenger.

The two occupants of the SUV were taken to the hospital for the treatment of non-critical injuries.

No further information is available at this time.
