Vidor man and Houston teen seriously hurt in Orange County crash

TEXLA, TX (ORANGE COUNTY) – A man from Vidor and an 18-year-old from Houston suffered serious wounds in a multi-vehicle collision in Orange County last week, according to the Orange Leader.

The accident happened Wednesday night in Texla, located north of Mauriceville, near the intersection of SH-62 and Hickory Bend Dr when the driver of a 2016 Chevrolet pickup truck tried to make a left turn onto Hickory Bend.

The driver of the pickup, 18-year-old Houston resident Julian Blanco, collided with the side of a 2010 Chevrolet car that was in the other lane.

Blanco and the diver of the 2010 Chevrolet, 33-year-old Vidor man Jeremy Morgan, suffered serious injuries and were brought to St. Elizabeth for treatment.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
