KILLEEN, TX – Two women died early Friday morning after a fiery wrong-way collision along a busy roadway in Killeen.
The incident happened in the area of 2800 East Rancier Avenue, or FM 439, which is between NWS Young Drive and North 38th Street.
Police say that the 20-year-old driver of a westbound Cadillac was likely intoxicated when she entered the eastbound lanes of Rancier Avenue and collided head-on with an eastbound maroon Kia Telluride.
The crash caused the Kia to catch fire, and the driver of the Kia, identified as 33-year-old Dianne Cintron, died at the scene of the accident.
Medics transported the driver of the Cadillac, identified as Taeler Greenleaf, to the hospital, where she died from injuries sustained in the accident.
