Narrative

TEMPLE, TX – A woman died Thursday after a two-vehicle crash involving an 18-wheeler along the interstate in Temple.

The incident happened around 8 a.m. on I-35 near exit 306, which is just north of Lucky’s RV Park.

Police say that the woman experienced car trouble on the interstate and was stalled in the middle lane of the interstate when an 18-wheeler crashed into the vehicle’s rear.

The 72-year-old woman in the car died at the scene of the accident. Authorities identified her as Victoria Beluso Aranas.

It does not appear that the truck driver sustained injuries in the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
