Police say that the victim’s southbound Ford F-450 entered the northbound lane of US-385 and sideswiped another pickup truck. The collision caused the southbound pickup to leave the roadway and crash into a ditch.
The driver of the southbound vehicle, identified as Russell Smallwood, died at the scene of the accident.
It’s unclear if the other driver sustained injuries in the crash.
