24-year-old pedestrian killed in crash on FM 1774 in Todd Mission

TODD MISSION, TX (GRIMES COUNTY) – A 24-year-old man was fatally struck by a driver on FM 1774 Road in Todd Mission this weekend.

According to KBTX, the crash happened on FM 1774 Rd at around 7 p.m. Saturday as 24-year-old New Caney resident Timothy Geiger was walking southbound on the roadway. He then reportedly failed to yield to an oncoming northbound vehicle, a grey 2009 Kia SUV.

The driver of the SUV, 62-year-old Anderson resident Bruce Boyer, then collided with Geiger.

Geiger was airlifted to the hospital in Houston, where he was later pronounced dead.

No charges have been filed at this time in connection with the accident.
