2 people hurt after driver runs stop sign on Morgan Ave on New Year’s Day

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Two people were hurt in a crash on Morgan Avenue on New Year’s Day after a driver reportedly ran a stop sign, according to details provided by the Texas Department of Transportation.

The crash occurred at 3501 Morgan Avenue, near Baldwin Boulevard and Cheyenne Street, when the 89-year-old driver of a silver 2015 Nissan failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign. The front-left of the Nissan was then struck by a gray 2012 Honda being driven by a 35-year-old woman.

Both drivers sustained potential injuries during the crash.

A 3-year-old girl riding in the back of the Honda was not reported as hurt.
