Bicyclist killed in hit-and-run crash on I-37 service road

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – A bicyclist died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on the I-37 service road in Corpus Christi this weekend, according to information from KIII News.

The crash happened on the I-37 access road near Navigation Boulevard before 12:06 a.m. Saturday morning, as 50-year-old Bobby Crossland was cycling on the roadway. He was then struck by a passing driver who fled the scene.

Crossland’s body was discovered at the scene, though the accident may have occurred sometime before it was reported. He was pronounced dead there.

Authorities are hoping to locate video footage as they investigate the accident. Those with information on the crash are asked to contact the department’s non-emergency line at 361-886-2600.
