Man facing DUI charges following crash that killed 1, injured 2 in Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – A man is facing charges following a collision that led to the death of one person and the injury of two others in Corpus Christi on Sunday, according to KIII TV.

The collision happened on South Padre Island Drive, near the Oso Bay and Paul Jones Avenue, at about 7:30 p.m., when two Ford F-150 pickup trucks collided. At least one of the vehicles rolled off the side of the roadway.

Ryan Solar, 45, was ejected during the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two occupants of the other vehicle were taken to the hospital for treatment.

22-year-old Nicholas Guerrero, a driver of one of the pickups, was taken into police custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
