Two people injured in speed-related crash on Staples St

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Two people were reportedly injured during a speed-related crash on Staples Street in Corpus Christi on Thursday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The crash occurred at 5293 S Staples St, near Williams Drive and south of Highway 358 at 10:32 a.m., after the 36-year-old driver of a white 2016 Toyota allegedly failed to control the speed of his vehicle.

He crashed into the back of a red 2020 Ford being driven by a 30-year-old man.

The driver of the Ford and his 43-year-old female passenger sustained potential injuries during the collision.

The at-fault driver was not reported as hurt.
