Narrative
BALCH SPRINGS, TX – A 33-year-old man died, and a child sustained serious injuries Thursdaya in a single-vehicle crash in east-central Dallas County.
The incident happened around 2:45 p.m. in the area of I-20 and South Beltline Road in the city of Balch Springs.
Police say the man and child were thrown from the vehicle after it overturned. They are still investigating what may have caused the man to lose control of the vehicle and to crash.
The driver died at the scene. Authorities have not yet released his name to the public.
Medics transported the child to the hospital for an unspecified surgery.
